Deanne Herman is Vice President and a member of the PR Committee.
In addition to her work with Rock The Earth, Deanne is Director
of Production and Design at JamBase.com - the premiere location
for live music and concert information on the web. After a extensive
experience peforming music throughout early childhood and high
school, she went on to Indiana University to receive her B.A..
After entering a path towards developmental psychology and children's
media research in a master's program at Teacher's College at
Columbia University, she switched gears back to music propelled
by her passion for the music and the community of the evolving
JamBase "scene." In June 2000, Deanne assumed webmaster
and editorial duties at JamBase and was a main force in shaping
the direction of the information and editorial functions of
the website. As JamBase moved towards independence, and the
revenue potential was seen in direct email marketing, Deanne,
self-taught in web design, began to create these specialized
HTML pieces for JamBase clients (bands, venues, promoters).
Other projects included publicity work for some of her favorite
bands including Umphrey's McGee, The Slip, and Tea Leaf Green.
A musician herself, Deanne is dedicated to spreading the message
of peace through music. She is thrilled to be involved in an environmental
non-profit as this is a very important time in our history to pay
attention and speak out for change.
