Amy Ramsey
Amy Ramsey serves on the Legal & Technical Committee of Rock the Earth. In addition to her role with Rock the Earth, Amy is a forest pathologist in Washington state. She spends her work time trekking through the woods of Washington researching various tree diseases, as well as educating small and large forest landowners on how to keep their trees and forests healthy. Amy has a B.S. in Botany from the University of Oklahoma and a M.S. in Ecosystem Analysis from the University of Washington. She has primarily been involved with plant, soil, and forest ecology research over the past seven years, with special emphases on plant, lichen, moss, algae and soil biodiversity in forest and plains ecosystems, as well as tree and fungal interactions. When Amy is not working, she spends her time rock and mountain climbing, kayaking, gardening, making furniture out of salvaged wood, removing invasive species, and listening to music.
